First responders, essential workers and others who qualified as part of the Virginia Department of Health’s screening process received the first of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination last Thursday at a drive-thru clinic in White Stone. Appointments were required. The clinic opened at 10 a.m. with vehicles lining the driveway at White Stone Volunteer Fire Department and winding down Chesapeake Drive and Beach Road. Volunteers worked throughout the day, dispensing some 300 vaccinations. Others eligible are receiving vaccines through their primary care physicians.
