DAR joins mask project

When Michele Tucker, regent of the Cobbs Hall Chapter of the DAR, learned the Rev. Judi Sifferd, discipleship pastor of the White Stone Church of the Nazarene, had initiated a program called Sew With Purpose to make masks, she called and offered to help.

Tucker doesn’t sew. However, when she learned the program was making masks for nursing homes and hospitals and that veterans in those facilities were requesting masks, she immediately sent out the call to the Cobbs Hall Chapter, said publicity chairman Rebecca Nunn. 

A few members had already begun sewing with Rev. Sifferd’s program, but other “daughters” responded to the appeal by sending donations for patriotic fabric for veterans’ masks and money for…
