The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society (LVHS) recently announced a $6,000 gift from Davenport & Company LLC towards its campaign to build a new, expanded research library.
Davenport & Company, founded in Richmond in 1863 and with offices throughout the mid-Atlantic region, is an independent financial advisor offering a range of wealth management and financial planning services. For generations, it has assisted customers with the management of their savings and retirement funds, as well as supported the cultural and educational endeavors of community organizations like LVHS, said capital campaign chairman Ammon G. Dunton Jr.
