Bob Fallin, John Rice and Herbert Hammock were the stars as The Texacos upset the “Charlie’s Tradin’ Post” softball team of Atlanta, 3-2, in 1967.
Rice was the winning pitcher, Hammock drove in the winning run and Fallin contributed a 2-run homer and made key defensive plays.
That’s the same year the local fast pitch softball team posted a 38-7 record.
