IRVINGTON—Irvington residents remain divided on the topic of short-term rentals (STR). Issues of density regarding STRs remained prominent during a Tuesday, May 2, planning commission meeting.
Prior to the commission’s discussion of two conditional use permit (CUP) applications for STRs, several members of the public spoke against the applications.
Heath Kindle applied for a CUP to operate an STR at 277 Steamboat Road, and Harding and Boyd LLC applied for a CUP to operate an STR at 205 Steamboat Road.
During public comment, George Kuper voiced opposition to the 277 Steamboat Road application. According to Kuper, an STR operation would significantly impact the value of his and other neighborhood properties.
