Five ‘gems’ on Garden Week tour

The Garden Club of Virginia and the Garden Club of the Northern Neck on April 25 will host “Historic Gems Shine On,” a Historic Garden Week tour in Richmond County.

“We are looking forward to a lovely day showcasing our Richmond County historic gems,” said co-chairman Sue Farmar.

“This tour would not be possible with the generosity and support of our gracious community,” added co-chairman Betsy Terhune.

The “gems” will include Mount Airy (c. 1761), 361 Millpond Road, Warsaw, owned by Mr. and Mrs. John Tayloe Emery; Sabine Hall (c. 1738), 1694 Sabine Hall Road, Warsaw, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carter Wellford IV and Mercer O’Hara; Grove Mount (c.1787), 55 Grove Mount Road, Warsaw, owned by Mr. and Mrs. M.
