The fourth annual Earth Day 5K on April 21 will feature the Run NNK School Challenge. The race is organized by the Run NNK Running Club.
The challenge encourages schools to compete for cash prizes by fielding the largest numbers of registrations—students, teachers, parents and community runners and walkers—in the Earth Day 5K Run, said race organizer Bill Kirby.
The race will start at 8 a.m. in front of the Northumberland Historical Society, 86 Back Street, Heathsville. A $1,000 prize will be awarded to the high school/middle school (combined) with the most registrations…
