Guest speaker outlines Visiting Angels services

On September 12, the featured speaker for the Kilmarnock United Methodist Women was Kyle Lorenzino, Visiting Angels marketing manager for the Kilmarnock Office.

He explained the very complicated processes and systems that are part of elder care support in the U.S. today. Visiting Angels provides services that supplement the range of these needs such as home, Hospice and nursing care. Visiting Angels provides experienced, professional assessments to ensure the unique needs of each individual are met.

It was helpful for Lorenzino to explain the differences in the various services that are available and how Visiting Angels can step in to assess and help. He said, “Often families are in crisis and it’s our job to evaluate the home situation, the client’s health and be able to give our best advice to move forward. Our services may or may not be what’s required for immediate support—it is all determined by the specific needs of each client.”

“It was refreshing to hear their goal is to help those in need and not to just sign new clients,” said UMW president Cheri Bennett. “Several ladies in attendance had used Visiting Angels and praised their services and staff as professional, personable and just what they needed to help care for a loved one.”
