Historic Christ Church & Museum, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems, will hold its annual Hands-On History Day on from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Thursday, July 14.
Children ages 6-12 are invited to explore the history of Christ Church and colonial Virginia through a variety of exciting hands-on activities, said executive director Robert J. Teagle.
Participants will have an opportunity to make a brick by hand, write with a quill pen and make a grave rubbing inside the 1735 church. They also will dig on a real archaeological site, play colonial games and dress in colonial clothing….
