LOTTSBURG—As folks drive along Northumberland Highway through Lottsburg, many likely wonder about the history of The Holley Graded School, a white clapboard building that features a historic center in an authentic classroom, two artists in residence and is becoming a destination for charitable and social events.
Those queries were fulfilled for members of the Woman’s Club of Northumberland County (WCNC) on February 18 when historian Garfield Parker spoke about this special piece of history through authentic documents, stories and anecdotes, reported Claire M. Given.
