The June 2015 shooting deaths of nine members of Mother Emanuel A.M.E. Church in Charleston, SC—men and women gathered for Bible study—prompted some members of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Heathsville to pull together some local community leaders to talk about racism in general and race relations in the Northern Neck in particular.
