Interracial Conversations announces upcoming programs and presenters

The June 2015 shooting deaths of nine members of Mother Emanuel A.M.E. Church in Charleston, SC—men and women gathered for Bible study—prompted some members of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Heathsville to pull together some local community leaders to talk about racism in general and race relations in the Northern Neck in particular.

From those initial meetings the group now called Interracial Conversations took form, reported the Rev. Dr. Judy Thomson. The group has been meeting, monthly, for almost four years.
