Lady Devils win Region 1A track and field championship

Lancaster won four events and scored 84.5 points to lead 11 other teams and claim the championship in the girls Region 1A track and field meet at West Point last week.

The Lady Devils will advance to the Class 1 state meet Friday, June 18, at James Madison University in Harrisonburg. Lancaster also qualified eight for the state boys meet.

The top four individual finishers at the region level qualified for the Class 1 meet.
