The Lancaster Band Boosters on Saturday, October 26, will sponsor their annual Band Day. From 9 a.m.-noon, there will be members of the Lancaster High School Red Devils Band in front of businesses throughout the county accepting donations.
As a thank you to the community for all of their support, both the LHS Band and the Lancaster Elementary School Band will present a mini-concert near the main entrance of LES, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock, at 1 p.m.
“This event has become a community tradition,” said LHS band director Kenny Flester. “I believe the first Band Day was either in 1974 or 75, so it’s been happening for about 50 years.”
