Lancaster’s Dominique Veney paced a pack of 30 varsity runners as the individual medalist in the Northern Neck District boys cross country meet last Thursday to lead the Red Devils to the district championship.

Washington & Lee (W&L) was second with 53 points; Rappahannock (RHS), third with 61; and Essex (EHS), fourth with 87. Northumberland (NHS), despite having two finish in the top five, did not field an entire team.

The Devils had three place in the top 10 with Darius Reed finishing fifth overall and third in team competitors.
