LHS hosts first home swim meet ever

Lancaster High School had three individual gold medalists and took four silvers in its first ever home swim meet last Saturday.

Held at the Northern Neck Family YMCA’s new Monroe Family Aquatic Center, the meet included 67 swimmers from host Lancaster, Bruton, New Kent and Middlesex.

“We swam great,” said LHS coach Mike Loser. “I was happy with almost every aspect of the way we swam, from starts, breakouts, turns and the way we raced. These kids are a good group and they want to get faster. Putting in an average of two miles a day in practice while training to get faster.”
