Shoppers may have been disappointed when the Lively Dollar General caught fire in late October of last year, but little did they know that when it reopened the following month an improved store would be waiting for them.
Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie said the fire remains under investigation.
Meanwhile, the store at 5236 Mary Ball Road, Lively, reopened as the only area Dollar General offering fresh produce to complement the grocery items already stocked. This is good news for area residents looking for a quick stop and wanting to avoid a longer drive to a grocery store.
