LVA On the Go! to visit Heathsville Farmers Market

LVA On the Go! will share some of its vast resources, staff expertise and programming Saturday, May 20, at the Heathsville Farmers Market.

The Library of Virginia’s new LVA On the Go! van will visit the Heathsville Farmers Market on Saturday, May 20. The market will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern (RHHT), 73 Monument Place, Heathsville.

The “LVA On the Go!” van is a custom-made vehicle equipped with technology to offer genealogy help, oral history recordings and children’s activities, as well as presentations on how to access library resources online, reported RHHT executive director Corinne Becker.

Starting at 10 a.m., the LVA staff will teach how to access digital records as part of a program entitled “Virginia Untold: the African American Narrative.” Information is available about….
