The Morattico Waterfront Museum, 6584 Morattico Road, Morattico, recently announced its seasonal opening day celebration will be held from noon-4 p.m. May 1.
The public is warmly welcome, no cost of admission, to the museum in the village of Morattico, said new curator Tina Bustos. COVID-19 restrictions will be observed.
Visitors can learn how watermen tonged oysters out of the Rappahannock and how soft-shell crabs are harvested, said Bustos, and see where the steamboats dropped off thousands of passengers from all over….
