Museum hosts wreath laying ceremony

Eight deceased first responders with local connections were honored Thursday, May 20, during a wreath laying ceremony at the Lancaster/Northumberland Wall of Valor at the Kilmarnock Museum. Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp salutes the wreath during the ceremony.
First responders who were recognized include Alexander M. Cochran, Virginia State Police; James A. Brent, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office; Donald Benson Sr., Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, John W. Sanford Jr., Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office; Chad Carr, Greene County Sheriff’s Office; Ryan M. Wilcox, Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department; Francis H. O’Brien, Kilmarnock-Lancaster County Volunteer Rescue Squad; and Jerry E. Trimmer, Henrico Police Department.
