“It’s exciting. I haven’t seen some of these kids since March,” said Northumberland High School principal Dr. Travis Burns, as he greeted students stepping off school buses Thursday, October 22.
It was the first day of in-person instruction for grades 4-12 since Gov. Ralph Northam closed all schools in the Commonwealth in March in response to the growing pandemic.
