Northern Neck Orchestra season to open with Grace Park, Mozart’s violin concerto

A performance of Mozart’s most daring violin concerto by a gifted soloist will highlight the Northern Neck Orchestra’s October 27 concert at the Lancaster Middle School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock.

The program will feature Mozart’s exquisite Violin Concerto No. 5 with soloist Grace Park, and two glittering compositions by Leonard Bernstein, CBS Music and Slava! and Sibelius’ stirring anthem Finlandia.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a pre-concert talk hosted by music director Michael Repper at 6:45 p.m.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at www.northernneckorchestra.org or at the door. Students are admitted free with an online reservation. Season tickets are $75.
