HEATHSVILLE— The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, October 19, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.
Elton T. Cockrell of Lancaster, charged with felony possession of a weapon, was sentenced to five years with four years and 10 moths suspended. He was fined $1,000 and faces an additional $2,405 in costs. Cockrell was placed on indefinite supervision.
Cockrell also was sentenced to five years with four suspended for his third DWI within 10 years. His operator license is suspended indefinitely.
Additionally, Cockrell was sentenced to five years with five years suspended after being charged with felony possession with intention to sell a Schedule I/II substance. Cockrell was sentenced to an additional five years with five years suspended after being charged with a felony for eluding/disregarding the police.
In the case of Robert C. Lawson of Callao, charged with a felony for entering a structure to commit assault and battery, bond was granted and the case will be reviewed….
