Nunn and Smith will bring comedy to Lancaster Playhouse

The Lancaster Players in May will present “An Evening With Two Fabulous Old Broads in Three Acts,” co-starring Donna Smith and Rebecca Tebbs Nunn, at The Lancaster Playhouse, 361 Chesapeake Drive, White Stone.

Nunn acted the first time at Kilmarnock High School with the Barter Theatre when she was in second grade. She continued acting all through school, reported Nunn. As a pre-med major at Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia, she was cast as the lead in three major productions in her first two years. Eventually, she switched her major to dramatic arts and speech. Her senior year, Nunn was given a contract with the Helen Hayes Repertory Theatre on Broadway after stepping in and performing a role for them when the lead broke her foot.

After her marriage, she continued acting and directing in New York, Maryland, D.C., Northern Virginia and Texas for the next 25 years, appearing in numerous Washington Metropolitan dinner and community theaters and making radio and television commercials…
