Presenters from Middlesex Elementary, Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School, Friends of the Rappahannock, Virginia Gamefish Tagging, Fairfield Foundation, Christchurch School and the Yorktown Watermen’s Museum participated in the recent Urbanna Oyster Festival Education Day.
They explored maritime history, native American and colonial history, oysters, watershed science, bay critters and water quality for local elementary and middle school students, reported Chesapeake Acadamy head of school Julianne Keesee.
