Albert Pollard Jr. of Irvington has been training through the fall for the 50K Farmville Freight Train “Ultra-marathon” on the linear state park “High Bridge.” Although the race was canceled a few weeks before its scheduled start time, he decided to run the course on the scheduled race day, December 11, anyway.
