Virginia radio and television stations were recognized for excellence in broadcasting at the 82nd annual Virginia Association of Broadcasters Awards June 21 at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel.
Kilmarnock’s WKWI-FM and WIGO-FM were big winners in the Small Market Radio category, reported vice president and general manager Dennis Burchill.
WIGO-FM took first place in the Best Station Promotion/Contest category with “Tanks-Giving,” a free gasoline promotion the station ran in November of last year.
