Rappahannock Community College (RCC) recently announced the winners of the 2019 Spring Math Contest.
“This was 46th year RCC has held a spring math contest with the first contest held in 1974 under the direction of former RCC Warsaw Campus dean Wallace Lemons,” said mathematics instructor Robert Parker.
“There were individual contests in algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2 and precalculus/math analysis. Students must have been enrolled in the subject they are entered in or have completed the course in the fall and are not currently enrolled in the next course in sequence. Tests are based on Virginia Standards of Learning and focused on applications,” said Parker.
