KILMARNOCK—For 100 years, the devoted men and women of the American Red Cross in Virginia have responded to challenges at home and abroad with compassion and generosity. In times of conflict and great tragedy, they deliver humanitarian relief, save lives and offer hope for a brighter tomorrow.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the American Red Cross in Essex, Richmond, Westmoreland, Northumberland, Lancaster and Middlesex counties, the Northumberland County Chapter will host a Community Volunteer Recognition “Past and Present” from 3 to 5 p.m. September 30 at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.
