Sheridan Ford’s match-winning goal with 20 minutes to play last Wednesday broke a halftime tie and lifted Lancaster over Washington & Lee, 2-1, in varsity soccer for the first time in over five years.

“It was a great game,” said LHS coach Traci Ford. “They just keep getting better with every game. The drills and practices are paying off. We’re finally putting all that into the games.”

Lancaster took a 1-0 lead about 15 minutes into the first half on a free kick by Evan Steensma from 20 yards out.
