Registration opens for Camp Kekoka Polar Bear Plunge

Northern Neck Rotarians Anne Paparella, executive director of the Lancaster by the Bay Chamber, and Brandon Frazier, arborist representative for Bartlett Tree Experts, are ready to take the plunge and win back the coveted “Golden Plunger.”

The YMCA Camp Kekoka Polar Bear Plunge will be held April 10 at YMCA/APYC Camp Kekoka, 1083 Boys Camp Road, Kilmarnock.

“The 11th annual Camp Kekoka Polar Bear Plunge will be held this year, come cold or warm water,” said YMCA Camp Kekoka vice chairman Donna McGrath.

“We had to reschedule from our usual January date to April 10 due to pandemic restrictions,” said McGrath. “Kids need camp more than ever this year, and we are so excited that the governor has stated children will be able to go to overnight camp…
