Through July 2, Dominion Energy crews will mobilize on the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge and install equipment to start removing the power lines. Brief, intermittent traffic stops of up to 15 minutes during daytime hours are possible, but all travel lanes will remain open at other times.
During July 13-15, Route 3 will be reduced to a single lane on Norris Bridge from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. On July 27, a single lane closure is scheduled for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. with one-way, alternating traffic on the bridge.
Upgraded transmission lines to serve Dominion customers have now been moved underground beneath the Rappahannock River east of the bridge.
