Rescue squad outfits sheriff’s department with Stop the Bleed kits

Northumberland County Rescue Squad Inc. recently presented the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Department 23 Stop the Bleed kits to be carried by each of the deputies and used for life-threatening emergency injuries.

These kits were purchased by the rescue squad utilizing donations from the generous residents of Northumberland County.

The “Stop the Bleed” kits, containing a tourniquet, gauze, pressure bandage and other items, can be used to stop most hemorrhaging, reported president Richard Tucker. These kits have been used effectively to save lives in incidents such as the Las Vegas mass shooting…
