The RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, and the Writers Guild of Virginia will continue their Second Saturday Social Series from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, September 14, at the art center. The event will focus on local stories with Lancaster County author Gwen Keane.
Keane is an ardent supporter and board member of Northern Neck Partners for Pets (NNPP), an organization focused on providing a no-kill shelter for local homeless animals. Keane’s book, Cowboy Finds a Home, tells the story of her shelter rescue dog, reported Ann Eichenmuller of the Writers Guild of Virginia board of directors. Proceeds from sales of the book go to NNPP.
