Audiences for The Lancaster Players’ upcoming production, “Let Him Sleep ‘til It’s Time for His Funeral,” will watch the comedy unfold on a stage that has been transformed into a home’s add-on sun porch.
Linda Stough, the show’s director, did not settle for a rough sketch of the set design.
“Instead, I built a scale model for the set construction crew,” said Stough.
Luke Rawls, David Harvey, Dick Allen, Skip Tilley and Bob Walker are now building bookcases, walls and shelves. Once that work is completed, a crew of set decorators will complete Stough’s plan, which includes re-painting the stage floor.
“Let Him Sleep…” begins with a wife’s plans for her husband’s surprise “over-the-hill” birthday party. Those plans quickly go awry when….
