Sharon Baptist will observe Juneteenth

n Sunday, June 19, Sharon Baptist Church, 1413 Lumberlost Road, Weems, will observe Juneteenth during the 11 a.m. worship.

Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the effective end of slavery in the U.S., said Sandra Smyre.

Bryan Lee will serve as the worship leader. Kelvin Davis Jr. will raise the Juneteenth flag and Ivory Ball will explain the colors. Deacon Lloyd Hill will proclaim Order #3 and the 13th Amendment.

Robert Waddy Jr. will perform drum….
