Sheriff’s Report 09-26-24

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against seven individuals.

Felony

Kionte Richon Walters, 33, of Lancaster, was charged September 19 with failure to appear in court for arraignment June 5 on a misdemeanor.

A Lancaster man, 66, was charged September 17 with failure to appear in court for a trial on an underlying charge.

A Lancaster man, 32, was charged September 20 with failure to comply with drug screening and appointments.

A White Stone woman, 63, was charged September 20 with pointing, holding or brandishing a firearm, an air or gas operated weapon, or an object similar in appearance in such a manner so as to reasonably induce fear in the mind of another.

A Lancaster woman, 73, was charged September 21 with failure to appear in court for arraignment.

A Lancaster man, 29, was charged September 22 on two counts of assault and battery of a family or household member.

A Lancaster woman, 75, was charged September 22 with appearing in public in an intoxicated condition and obstructing justice, resisting arrest.

September 16: Staff responded to the 400 block of Long Cove Lane for a scam, to the 600 block of North Main Street for a disabled vehicle, to Nuttsville Road for incident exposure, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle.

September 17: Staff responded to the 700 block of Paynes Creek Road for a scam, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for debris in the road, to the 1600 block of Rocky Neck Road for a civil complaint, to the 900 block of Old Salem Road for a downed tree, and to the 200 block of Lumberlost Trail for a larceny.

September 18: Staff responded to the 600 block of North Main Street for a suspicious person, to the 100 block of Spencer Lane for a scam, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for legal advice, to the 40 block of East Senora Road for livestock in the highway, and to Spencer Lane for gunshots in the late evening hours.

September 19: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver, to the 500 block of Mantua Road for gunshots in the late evening hours, and to the 600 block of Chesapeake Drive for the report of disorderly conduct.

September 20: Staff responded to the 2000 block of White Chapel Road for a custody dispute, to the 200 block of Pinckardsville Road for threats, to Windmill Point Road and Oyster Creek for a disabled vehicle, to the 5000 block of Mary Ball Road for harassment, to the 400 block of Buzzards Neck Road for gunshots in the late evening hours, to the 400 block of White Hall Road for a noise complaint, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for suspicious activity, and to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway.

September 21: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a noise complaint, to Devils Bottom Road to assist Virginia State Police on a traffic stop, to Youcomico Drive for a noise complaint, to Davis Mill Road for an unattended vehicle, to the 1200 block of Morattico Road for an adult welfare check, to the 1300 block of Oak Hill Road for a neighbor dispute, to the 1600 block of Mary Ball Road for a noise complaint, and to the 700 block of Chownings Ferry Road for a noise complaint.

September 22: Staff responded to the 100 block of Chestnut Grove Lane for an assault, to Mary Ball and Pinckardsville roads for a vehicle hit and run, to the 500 block of Devils Bottom Road for an assault, and to the 300 block of Avonne Street and Dixie Avenue for a suspicious person.

Staff also conducted 19 traffic stops, issued 21 summonses, assisted a motorist, handled a request for traffic control, investigated six building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged two inmate transports, received six E911 hang up calls, and fielded a call for animal control service.

Fire calls

White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at 58 Myway Lane and a fire alarm at 25 Tom Morris Drive.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a fire alarm at 688 Western Branch Road and with Kilmarnock VFD to a vehicle fire at 871 White Chapel Road.
