Sheriff’s Report 12-23-20

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against four individuals.

A Lancaster man, 20, was charged December 15 with a probation violation on a felony offense.

A Heathsville man, 28, was charged (no date given) with annoying ringing of a phone with or without intent to converse.

A Heathsville woman, 21, was charged (no date given) with annoying ringing of a phone with or without intent to converse.

A Weems man, 20, was charged December 18 with failure to appear on a misdemeanor offense.

Activity report

December 14: Staff responded to the 1600 block of Windmill Point Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 5200 block of Mary Ball Road for vandalism.

December 15: Staff responded to the 500 block of North Main Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a trespasser, and to the 1000 block of Beanes Road for gunshots.

December 16: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Regina roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, the Norris Bridge for a reckless driver, to the 100 block of Irvington Road to assist KPD with a disorderly person, and to the 2900 block of Browns Store Road to assist Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) with a fight in progress involving 10 or more people and weapons.

December 17: Staff responded to the 100 block of Wiggins Avenue to assist KPD with a protective order violation, to White Stone for a reckless driver, to the 11100 block of Jessie Dupont Memorial Highway for a single-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 300 block of Weems Road for a domestic assault.

December 18: Staff responded to Jessie Dupont Memorial Highway to assist NCSO with the pursuit of a vehicle involved in shooting into an occupied dwelling.

December 19: Staff responded to the 100 block of Sandlin Drive for a verbal dispute between renter and landlord, and to Whites Lane and Mary Ball Road to assist Virginia State Police with the arrest of a wanted person.

December 20: Staff responded to the 2900 block of Lara Road for a person with an altered mental status, and to Weems Road and Norris Drive for a single-vehicle traffic crash versus a power pole with lines down in the roadway.

Staff also conducted eight traffic stops, issued five summonses, assisted six motorists, recorded six deer strike accidents, handled a call for traffic control, investigated eight building alarms, logged two inmate transports, received 26 E911 hang-up calls, and fielded a call for animal control service.

Fire calls

White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash on Windmill Point Road and Weems Road, as well as a fire/smoke alarm on Greentown Road.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to Mary Ball and Pierces roads for trees down in the highway.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 34 individuals.

Felonies

Vincent O’Neal Noel, 39, of Burgess was charged November 24 with a warrant from Northumberland County for unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was arrested by the Warsaw Police Department.

Milford Levern Dunaway Jr., 40, of Heathsville was charged December 2 with two counts of malicious wounding.

Robert Coley Lawson, 19, of Callao was charged December 3 with a capias to show cause for violation of his probation on a felony offense.

Damien Devon Towles, 27, of Farnham was charged December 3 with rape by force, and assault and battery.

Michael L. Blackwell, 46, of Heathsville was charged December 9 with grand larceny. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Chasity Ann Crockett, 36, of Colonial Beach was charged December 10 with a capias to show cause from Northumberland County Circuit Court for a probation violation. She was arrested by the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).

Thomas Harvey Samuels, 49, of Reedville was charged December 10 with two felony cases of animal cruelty and one misdemeanor case of animal cruelty/deprivation.

Adam Brice Freeman-Jones, 20, of Deltaville was charged December 11 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for failing to appear on felony charges of grand larceny and burglary. This was served by Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office.

Tammy Lynn Morgan, 55, of Heathsville was charged December 11 with two felony counts of abuse/child neglect,

Benjamin Albert Schlosser, 54, of Heathsville was charged December 11 with two felony counts of abuse/child neglect.

Charles William Davis III, 40 of Reedville was charged December 13 with two felony counts of strangulation and two misdemeanor warrants for assault and battery on a family member.

Thomas Harvey Samuels Jr., 49, of Reedville was charged with five felony warrants for animal cruelty and 15 misdemeanor warrants for animal deprivation.

Shadonta Lateef Beane, 24, of Lancaster was charged December 14 with felony possession of a Schedule I or II drug. This was a Northumberland County warrant, served by the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office.

Centrix Brandell Palmer Jr., 32, of Kilmarnock was charged December 15 on a direct indictment issued from the Northumberland County Circuit Court for possession of a gun by a convicted felon.

Misdemeanors

A Callao woman, 25, was charged November 10 with hit and run, with failing to report the accident.

A Hayes woman, 23, was charged November 16 with failing to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court after signing a recognizance form.

A Heathsville woman, 31, was charged November 19 with failing to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court for the original charge of driving suspended and reckless driving.

A Hague man, 38, was charged November 19 with a capias/attachment of the body issued from the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to comply with conditions of his community based probation. This warrant was served by the WCSO.

A Heathsville man, 21, was charged November 20 with a capias/attachment of the body issued from the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear. This warrant was served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

A Reedville man, 23, was charged November 20 with damaging property.

A Reedville woman, 68, was charged November 20 with storing junk and unlawful storage of refuse. These were Henrico County summonses served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

A Farnham man, 44, was charged November 24 with a capias to show cause issued from the Northumberland County Circuit Court for failing to comply with his pre-trial services for assault and battery.

A Heathsville man, 32, was charged November 24 with a capias/attachment of the body issued from the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for a violation of his pre-trial services.

A Stafford man, 25, was charged November 28 with driving under the influence and speeding.

A Heathsville man, 60, was charged November 28 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Heathsville man, 59, was charged November 28 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Callao woman, 50, was charged November 30 with failing to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court.

A Heathsville man, 47, was charged December 1 with trespassing.

A Reedville woman, 57, was charged December 2 with two summonses for threatening animals, two summonses for no county tags and two summonses for failing to vaccinate her animals.

A Kilmarnock man, 43, was charged December 4 with driving under the influence, first offense, and speeding.

A Reedville man, 40, was charged December 6 with assault and battery.

A Heathsville woman, 31, was charged December 13 with failing to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court for reckless driving, failing to maintain control.

A Reedville man, 43, was charged December 15 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Heathsville man, 47, was charged December 16 with assault and battery.
