WHITE STONE—After a second reading and much debate, the White Stone Town Council on Thursday, August 5, adopted a revised noise ordinance in a 5-2 vote.
Irving Brittingham, William Hubbard, Randy Reeves Jr., Jamilah Sawyer and James Smith voted in favor of the new ordinance, while Kathryn Roop and AnnGardner Eubank voted against.
According to the revised ordinance, “quiet hours” will extend from 10:30 p.m. to 8 a.m., a permit fee of $150 will be required for mass outdoor social gatherings, with $100 refunded following clean-up after the event.
