Lancaster Community Library recently announced plans for an adult spelling bee, “For The Spell of It.”
The bee will be held at 2 p.m. June 23 at the Lancaster Middle School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock. The bee, for ages 17 and older, will help raise funds for the children and teen programs at the library.
“The library’s first adult spelling bee in 2015, The Great Northern Neck Spelling Bee, was extremely popular with 16 teams competing and almost 200 audience members cheering them along. It was so much fun, the library decided to do it again,” said event chairman Susan Richardson.
