Soybean harvest continues

After facing one of the wettest seasons on record in the Commonwealth, some local farmers like Jock Chilton of Ridgefield Farms took advantage of the good weather on Saturday, January 16, to harvest crops out of fields that had previously been too water-logged to safely work. Chilton, who leases the land from Mike Walters in Morattico, used this combine to bring in soybeans after waiting weeks to get into the field.
