Virginia Motor Speedway, 4426 Tidewater Trail, Jamaica, recently released the schedule for the 2018 season.
The schedule includes 12 nights of Aaron’s Dirt Series Championship weekly racing action, two Ultimate Super Late Model-sanctioned events, the FASTRAK World Championship and two mud bogs at the facility’s state-of-the-art 200 mud bog pit, reported director of sales, marketing and public relations Dave Seay.
The 49th season will open April 7 with a full program of Aaron’s Dirt Series Championship action including the Victory Lap Pro Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock divisions.
The Ultimate Super Late Model-sanctioned events will include the $20,000-to-win Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth and the $20,000-to-win 42nd annual USA 100 presented by Commonwealth Motorsports.
The season’s first special event will be April 14 when VMS will host the return of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series for the Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth along with a $3,000-to-win FASTRAK National event for Pro Late Models. The rain date will be April 15.
On June 16, the Ultimate Super Late Model Series will return for the 42nd annual USA 100. There also will be a $3,000-to-win FASTRAK National event for Pro Late Models. The rain date will be June 17.
The 2018 FASTRAK World Championship will return September 14 and 15 and will again pay $20,000-to-win. The weekend event also will include a $5,000-to-win FASTRAK World Challenge event for FASTRAK members only and a weekend support division to be announced. The rain date is September 16.
The mud bogs are slated May 19 and October 13.
