Support the ‘Sprit of the Holly Ball’

KILMARNOCK—The 125th Holly Ball is canceled due to the pervasive nature of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is only the second time in its rich history that the Ball has been canceled, with World War II being the first time. 

The Holly Ball is the chief fundraiser for the Tidewater Foundation, whose mission it is to distribute proceeds to local charities that are oriented toward education and art, reported publicity committee member Patricia Gallagher.

To bridge the gap related to the absence of the Holly Ball and ensure that the Tidewater Foundation can support the community with charitable donations, 100% of all board and committee members are committed to make a contribution, said Gallagher. 

In addition, the Tidewater Foundation offers a challenge match up to the first $5,000 in contributions received…
