Mary Ball Washington Chapter of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge thanks several area businesses for their support in the chapter’s effort to fundraise for scholarships for selected juniors at the three high schools of Lancaster, Northumberland and Middlesex.
These scholarships pay all tuition costs for these students to attend the four-day conference, The Spirit of America, at the Valley Forge campus each spring, reported education co-chairman Gerry Waring.
The participating businesses were kind enough to allow the chapter to place a donation jar near the cash register for customers to contribute loose change….
