IRVINGTON—The Tides Inn’s proposed boardwalk and living shoreline project continues to move forward in the local permitting stage. On January 7, neighbors and nearby residents participated in a related joint public hearing conducted by the planning commission and town council.
Zoning administrator Lara Brown and Wayne Savage of Bay Design Group presented plans for the installation of a boardwalk along the shoreline of the Tides Inn on Carter Creek. The design will feature a boardwalk across the shoreline and into the coves of the property to allow guests and the public to walk along the creek’s edge. The boardwalk also will enable the construction of a living shoreline for guests to enjoy an “educational and immersive experience,” said Brian Muszynski, vice president of development at Enchantment Group, the parent company of the Tides Inn.
