UPDATE: Boys & Girls Club resumes operations after massive fire

The interior of the Boys & Girls Club building at 517 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, suffered extensive damage from the fire. Supplies and records stored in the attic were destroyed.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck on Tuesday, November 20, announced plans to fully resume operations for  parents, families and the youth of the community on Monday, November 26.

Youth in grades 1-3 will be served at Lancaster Primary School, 36 Primary School Circle, Lancaster. Youth in grades 4-12 will be served at the BGCNN Activities Center, 518 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.

On Monday, November 19, the club experienced a fire at its headquarters, 517 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.

“Should anyone wish to help the club and promote the futures of the youth we serve, the time is now and the need is great,” said chief executive officer Phillip Mumford.
