Work has begun on a video documentary about the historic churches of the Northern Neck. It will present the history of local churches, including those that began as part of the established Church of England, as well as those founded later by Presbyterian and Baptist “dissenters,” and the African American churches that were established immediately after the Civil War.
The Kilmarnock Museum is partnering with 26th Street Media, a Richmond production company, to produce the film. The two teamed up in 2009 to produce the DVD, “Kilmarnock, Virginia: Living History.”
