WHITE STONE—Town manager Patrick Frere delivered all good news to White Stone Town Council last Thursday regarding the town’s year-end financials, grant funding for a public sewer project, and progress on a housing rehabilitation initiative.
White Stone was notified last week it had received a USDA Rural Development loan in the amount of $2,010,000, along with a $2.5 million grant, for its pubic sewer project.
“We are blessed to get more grant than loan so this means we can go right from Phase I into Phase II without a lapse,” said Mayor Randy Reeves.
According to Frere, there will be 175 connections in phase I of the project and 136 in phase II.
