Fight back against Parkinson’s
The Northern Neck Family YMCA will offer an ongoing 8-week group exercise program tailored specifically for those with Parkinson’s disease or other neurological challenges.
Research shows that regular exercise can reduce symptoms and slow disease progression, reported senior operations director Liz Allen.
The class will include cycling, cardio respiratory endurance training, agility, balance, muscle strengthening, flexibility and boxing.
An information session will be held at 12:30 p.m. July 9. Future classes will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.
The class is free to members and $75 per 8 weeks for non-members. Advance registration required.
Register at the YMCA, 39 William B. Graham Court, Kilmarnock, or 435-0223.
