Alyssa Ford Morel to speak at gardening seminar March 29

Alyssa Ford Morel will share ways to improve habitat for a lot of creatures through gardening.

Some folks are charmed on summer evenings by the tiny bobbing lights of amorous fireflies, their soft glow adding a sense of wonder to the night. While many creatures share the property people call their own, folks can improve the quality of their lives and support the environment by the way they garden.

The upcoming Gardening in the Northern Neck Seminar (GNN) will address this issue.

Alyssa Ford Morel will present “The Hospitable Gardener: Welcoming Fireflies and Other Creatures to Your Yard.” She will suggest practices to welcome and support fireflies, hummingbirds, lady bugs and other creatures. Attendees also will learn ways to….
