The Rappahannock Pistol & Rifle Club (RPRC) hosted its annual Hunter’s Trap Shotgun Competition on Sunday, June 8.
The contest involves two rounds of 25 shots each from seven different stations behind the trap house simulating bird hunting including both singles and report pairs from the low mount position, reported board member and safety officer Bill Crawford.
Carlton Revere placed first with 46 of 50 points. Lynn Hyde was second with 44 and Fulvio Padova, third with 43. Ginny Allen won the women’s division with a 30.
Eighteen shooters competed. Shotgun chairman Bill Nashwinter and team organized and ran the competition with RPRC lifetime member John McCloud officiating.
RPRC offers a total of 12 annual pistol, rifle and shotgun competitions for members and guests.
